Loan Forgiveness Programs| Additional Financial Incentives and Funding Sources for Teachers | Guide to Fellowships and Grants | Apply for Financial Aid

The Stanford Teacher Education Program (STEP) and Stanford University provide financial aid that covers the full cost of attending STEP.  In combination with STEP tuition fellowships (up to $20,000) and the availability of several loan forgiveness programs at the federal and state levels and at Stanford, many teacher candidates are able to attend STEP cost-free without having to make loan payments.

The following section outlines the university’s estimated cost-of-attendance budget for teacher candidates in 2008-2009, for on-campus and off-campus living, followed by a sample financial aid package.
