Invitations for Applications


The School of Education at Stanford University seeks a faculty member with scholarly interests in the teaching or learning of mathematics. The successful candidate will teach in the Stanford Teacher Education Program (secondary mathematics) and advise graduate students at the master's and doctoral levels. Involvement in the School of Education's charter high school is also a possibility. Senior candidates should have an excellent record of research and teaching.  Junior candidates should have completed a doctorate before the date of appointment and show evidence of outstanding potential for research and teaching.

Application Procedure

Applicants are requested to provide the following materials: a cover letter describing research agenda and teaching experience; curriculum vitae; up to three publications; and a list of three references with complete addresses and phone numbers. The committee will request letters of recommendation for finalists.

Review of applications will begin on November 15th, 2008 and will continue until the position is filled.
