On March 20,well-known education reformer
Tony Bryk gave the School of Education’s spring Cubberley
lecture entitled “Lessons from Chicago School Reform.”
Bryk discussed the lessons learned by the Consortium on Chicago
School Research during their twelve years of urban school research
and reform. |
In
October 2002, the Stanford Educational Leadership Institute (SELI)
was launched with a Symposium entitled,“Educational Entrepreneurship:
Redesigning Schools for Equity and Success in the 21st Century.“
Dean Deborah Stipek, Co-director and Graduate School of Business Professor
James A. Phills, Jr. (center) and Graduate School of Business Dean
Robert Joss forged a unique partnership between SUSE and the GSB to
combine the knowledge and resources of both schools to transform the
management and design of K-12 public schools. SELI is funded by The
Goldman Sachs Foundation. SUSE Professor Linda Darling-Hammond is
Co-director of SELI.
