Minimum Program Requirements   

Units
A minimum of 45 quarter units of graduate work at Stanford is required; 27 units must be in the School of Education (some programs require additional units).

Grades
A minimum of one-third of the programs' minimum total units must be taken for a letter grade.

Thesis
All programs require a final project, paper, or monograph. No thesis is required.

Teaching Credentials in the Stanford Teacher Education Program

The School of Education is authorized to recommend candidates who complete the Stanford Teacher Education Program for the Preliminary Single Subject Teaching Credential or for the Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.
