Alumni Excellence in Education Award Nomination Form

Please complete the form below to nominate a Stanford Graduate School of Education (GSE) alum.* Only completed nominations received by the due date will be considered. The 2019 award cycle closed on Monday, April 8, 2019 by 11:59 pm Pacific. The 2019 honorees will be announced by the first week of July, and will be presented on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Stanford. Nominations submitted after Monday, April 8, 2019 will be considered in the 2020 cycle.

Please note that the strongest nominations include detailed responses and an additional letter of support as well as a resume or CV.  Supporting documents should be submitted using this form. You can learn about our proud, previous recipients here.

Strong candidates across a wide range of education sectors (schools, districts, non-profits, tech, research, etc...) will have demonstrated excellence in one or more of the following areas:

  • Advancement of knowledge through research, teaching, publications, or technology as it relates to the interdisciplinary field of education
  • Commitment to dynamic, high-quality educational practice at the classroom, school site, or district level as a teacher, principal, or district leader
  • Innovation in addressing a timely issue or challenge in education
  • Dedication to underserved and low-resourced student populations
  • Leadership in educational policy at the local, state, federal, or international level
