Become a Better Diversity & Inclusion Advocate

The fight for racial and gender equality in the workplace starts with you! You’re invited to an interactive session, with a panel and breakout groups, with experienced leaders intended to give people managers the tactical tools to create and develop diverse, equitable, and inclusive teams.You will leave with actionable tips you can implement immediately to help make you a better leader and advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion at work.

The event is limited to Stanford alumni and students.

About the Speakers 

Chaka Booker, MBA '04, is Managing Director at The Broad Center and author of Mastering the Hire: 12 Strategies to Improve Your Odds of Finding the Best Hire. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of the Residency program including recruitment, selection, placement and professional development. Previously, Chaka served as senior director of recruitment and selection for The Broad Residency. Prior to joining The Broad Center, Chaka worked in the public sector, first as the founder and director of A+ Services, a tutorial company operating within the Los Angeles Unified School District, and then as director of education for Star Inc., a provider of after-school enrichment, curriculum development and supplemental education services. He holds a bachelor’s degrees in economics and psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MBA from Stanford University.

Tiana Conley serves as the Vice President of Global Cereal for the Kellogg Company, where she is responsible for the $6 billion flagship portfolio with treasured brands such as Special K, Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops and Corn Flakes. Prior to joining Kellogg, she was Marketing Director of global tequila at Beam Suntory, where she led a portfolio of 5 brands and oversaw operations at the Casa Sauza Heritage Center in Tequila, Mexico. Before joining Beam Suntory, Ms. Conley held a variety of marketing roles at Kimberly-Clark and Procter & Gamble, including leading the $4 billion Global Bath Tissue Portfolio as well as leading the P&L for the North American Olay brand. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Business Administration degree from Xavier University Williams College of Business in Cincinnati, Ohio.
