Getting the word out about an event, course, or offering can be tricky. Are you seeking an easier way to create an attractive flyer or looking to publicize in digital spaces like Slack and email? Join GSE IT as we investigate how to generate interest and design digital posters using Canva, a graphic design software suite.

This interactive workshop will cover how to rapidly customize ready-made templates for digital media like email or Slack. We’ll also discuss how digital design patterns can increase awareness of course offerings and events within the Stanford community. Then you’ll have the opportunity to try it out for yourself in our own make session!

The workshop will be anchored to 3 central questions:

• Which key elements can I use in every design?
• Which Canva tools enhance awareness of events, courses, offerings, etc.?
• Which digital designs are best for email, Slack, and printed flyers?
