Developing Responsible Leaders In China: A Challenge For Business Schools?

Developing Responsible Leaders In China: A Challenge For Business Schools?

Thursday, April 23, 2015
4:15pm
Lathrop East Asia Library, Room 224

The fast growth and great achievements of China brought along a number of dysfunctions and visible negative externalities that illustrate a shortage of responsibility at different levels of the society (government, corporate and individual levels). What has been the role of education - particularly in business schools – in preparing future leaders, developing current managers and trying to enlighten senior executives? Recent examples will be given to show efforts to enhance responsibility in China. Scenarios will be proposed to anticipate alternatives of what may happen and what could be the role business schools.
