Deborah Stipek is the former dean of the Graduate School of Education, a professor of education, and faculty director of the Haas Center for Public Service. Her research concerns instructional effects on children’s achievement motivation, early childhood education, elementary education and school reform. In addition, she works with district, state, and federal policy makers on policies affecting children and education. She currently chairs the Heising-Simons Network on Development and Research on Early Math Education.
