I am a Syrian Child: Documentary Screening + Discussion + Dinner

Wednesday, February 6, 2019
5:30pm - 7:00pm
EDUC 114

The Education in Emergencies Interest Group will be screening the documentary 'I am a Syrian Child' and facilitating a post-documentary discussion on education in conflict zones on Wednesday, February 6th from 5:30 - 7:00 pm in EDUC 114. The film looks at children from across Syria, who are now in Lebanon and Jordan, reflecting on what little they remember of the lives they left behind and the difficulties of receiving an education in their current situation. Film running time: 47 minutes.

Dinner (vegetarian and gluten-free options included) will be provided. We hope you’ll join us! Please RSVP here.

* The Education in Emergencies Interest Group is generously supported by the Dean’s Collaborative Learning Fund and aims to facilitate discourse around the critical issue of education and displacement from a multidisciplinary perspective. Join our mailing list to stay in touch with the discourse around education in emergencies as well as to find out about new events.
