Learning Differences and the Future of Special Education

Leading researchers gather to set an agenda for future scholarship in learning differences.

Leading experts from across the United States will gather at Stanford for a daylong symposium to map out a research agenda to address one of the biggest challenges in education today. Nearly 13 percent of children in today's public school classrooms are eligible for special education resources; many more have learning differences that have not been educationally diagnosed but would benefit from individualized and inclusive learning. We are bringing together creative and talented scholars from multiple disciplines to develop briefs articulating an informed vision and research agenda to inspire the field. By invite only.
