ProjectQED presents a guest lecture by Danielle Aguilar, M.Ed.

In this talk, Danielle Aguilar of California State University, Monterey Bay will discuss her work recently published in the edited volume Queer People of Color in Higher Education (2017) and co-authored with Dr. Joshua Moon-Johnson of American River College. We invite you to join us for this important and illuminating discussion!

Danielle Aguilar currently works at Cal State Monterey Bay as the Associate Director of Upward Bound. Danielle has previously held positions in Multicultural Affairs, LGBTQ affairs, and residence life. Danielle is a proud alumna of the University of Vermont’s HESA program and UCSB’s Feminist Studies program. She identifies as a socially conscious queer Chicana and approaches life at the intersections of hope and love - striving to be a lifelong learner committed to creating an environment where the overlooked and underestimated thrive. As a practitioner-scholar, Danielle incorporates Critical Race Theory, Feminist ideologies, and an equity minded framework as a supervisor, trainer, mentor, and learner.

Lunch will be served immediately following the event.
