Hilda Borko
Charles E. Ducommun Professor in the Graduate School of Education

This two-workshop series is designed to support researchers and practitioners to think through the core attributes of a research practitioner partnership, considering both relationship and research design.

January 27 Workshop: Initiating the relationship and designing the work. In this workshop, we will consider the reasons for pursuing a research practitioner partnership. What are the different models? What is the stance each partner assumes? How are projects chosen? Participants will think through questions they have relevant to their own contexts.

March 2 Workshop: Now what? In this workshop, we will consider routines and structures for maintaining the partnership, and how both partners share findings within and beyond their institutions. We will share current examples of ongoing projects, and participants will consider next steps they might have in their own field-based practice.

Faculty, doctoral students, researchers, and school district leaders are welcome to attend.

Dinner will be provided.
