Setting Up for a Sustainable Data Project Workshop

Setting Up for a Sustainable Data Project Workshop

Thursday, April 7, 2022
2:00pm - 3:00pm
Zoom

When starting a new data project, a proper setup can make the difference between smooth sailing and constant roadblocks. Systems need to be aligned for big goals like collection, collaboration, and transitions. As the GSE community takes on more data-facing projects, we look to gather and share out experiences and practices on this topic and more. Please join us for our workshop, Setting Up for a Sustainable Data Project, where we will think through key questions and long-term considerations for data projects. Asura Enkhbayar, an expert research data analyst at Invest in Open Infrastructure (IOI), will facilitate a discussion on sustainable data practices as well as tips, tricks, and crucial inquiries.

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify common pitfalls when first starting out on a data project
  • Design a mental checklist for the onset of a data project
  • Evaluate potential tools for a sustainable data project
