Social Entrepreneurs in Residence Panel

Social Entrepreneurs in Residence Panel

Thursday, April 21, 2022
12:00pm
CERAS 101

Join the 2022 Social Entrepreneurs in Residence at Stanford (SEERS Fellows) as they share their journeys, hopes, and visions for advancing racial and economic justice. All born and raised in the Bay Area, Anthony Chang, Joi Jackson-Morgan, and Lateefah Simon will share how histories of their families’ and communities’ perseverance, resistance, and efforts to make change have shaped their approach to dismantling systems of oppression.

Learn about how the SEERS Fellows each apply a community-centered lens in work in education, economic development, reentry, philanthropy, homeless services, and research to best serve the people and region they love. They will share insights from listening to their communities for ideas, building on them, and executing—often pushing the boundaries of what has been done in the past.

The SEERS Fellows know the struggles of being grassroots organizers while also seeking funding. Looking toward the future, they are considering what housing, criminal justice reform, community ownership, just transition, cooperative economics, and community control could look like.

Lunch will be provided and available at 11:30 am in the CERAS lobby. RSVP by April 19 for attendance and lunch.
