iCanGo: Customized stories in a snap

iCanGo is a story-building platform for parents of children on the Autism spectrum. Difficulty with social interaction is seen as the most significant feature of autism. Children with ASD find it hard to access what is described as a hidden curriculum: Important social skills that everyone knows, but no one is explicitly taught. A social story describes a social situation in terms of relevant social cues, perceptions and expected responses. Customizing a social story with a child’s face, appropriate level of vocabulary and a motivational character allows teachers to closely target a child's learning needs.
