Process Pad: Learning to Explain, Explaining to Learn

Project by

“I know what to do, I just don’t know how to explain it.” - 5th Grade Student Most assessments in education focus only on a final product and ignore process. Process is hard to capture, but explanations can make a student’s internal thought process more accessible. Explanations can also aid learning and illuminate the strong and weak areas in one’s understanding. Process Pad is an interactive, multitouch platform designed to capture a learners’ thought process and facilitate the explanation of ideas. Process Pad helps students learn to explain, and explain to learn.
