Registration open for SLC Study Visits

Registration is now open for Smaller Learning Communities Study Visits to Hillsdale High School. These inquiry-based professional learning tours provide schools and districts with the opportunity to learn from Hillsdale High’s practices and transformation process to inform their own school transformation.

Who
For school teams of at least three members, especially those who hold leadership positions in their school and district.

Cost
$525 per person. Participant fees include materials, snacks and some meals. Travel and lodging not included.

Registration is now open for Smaller Learning Communities Study Visits to Hillsdale High School. These inquiry-based professional learning tours are designed to provide school and district teams with the opportunity to learn from Hillsdale High School’s practices and transformation process to inform their own school transformation. Each study visit is customized for registered teams to meet their individual school needs and goals and to frame their own school context within the visit.

Hillsdale Study Visits focus on the structures, practices and instructional strategies that inform Hillsdale High School’s transformation into smaller learning communities. The study visit will address such questions as: Why create smaller learning communities? What are the benefits for students? What does a smaller learning community look like? How do teachers interact and collaborate differently? What does it take to lead conversion and change from a comprehensive high school into a smaller learning community?
