Undergraduate Programs

The Stanford University School of Education (SUSE) offers an Honors program for undergraduates interested in supplementing their major field(s) of study with courses and research in the field of Education. The SUSE Honors program provides a small number of students each year with the opportunity to pursue independent inquiry under the close mentorship of SUSE faculty. Honors students pursue a wide range of thesis projects with intellectual tools from a variety of academic disciplines in the social sciences and humanities. The Stanford University School of Education is pleased to offer an undergraduate minor in the field of Education. The minor is structured to provide a substantial introduction to Education through a broad-based and focused study of educational research, theory and practice. The goals of the minor are to allow undergraduates to develop an understanding of the core issues facing educators and policymakers, to make connections to their major programs of study, and to provide rigorous preparation for graduate studies in Education.
