Kristen P. Blair, PhD ’09 (Learning Sciences and Technology Design), researcher with the H-STAR Institute at Stanford, co-authored a book, The ABCs of How We Learn: 26 Scientifically Proven Approaches, How They Work, and When to Use Them, with Jessica M. Tsang, PhD ’12 and Dan Schwartz, dean of Stanford Graduate School of Education. According to the Amazon.com book summary, it is a “superior learning tool for teachers and students, from A to Z.” The write up adds: “Each chapter offers a concise and approachable breakdown of one way people learn, how it works, how we know it works, how and when to use it, and what mistakes to avoid.” The book was also the subject of an nprED radio program,
