Join fellow Stanford alumni for Stanford Beyond the Farm, a nationwide day of service for Stanford University alumni, family and friends to pitch in, have fun, and give back to the communities we live in. With over 200,000 Stanford alumni around the globe, one day can make a world of difference!

This year, the GSE's own Kristin Palmer MA '99 - LDT, is leading a garden cleanup project at Roosevelt School in Redwood City, California. Volunteers will report at 9:30 am on May 6th to tackle a number of garden restoration projects including weeding, mulching, planting, watering, painting and more. There is work for all skill levels and abilities, and as such, children are welcome. Basic supplies such as gloves, trash bags, shovels, trowels, paintbrushes, etc. will be provided at the work site. Coffee and breakfast will be provided to begin the morning, and pizza will be available near the end of our work session! We do recommend wearing sun protection such as hats and sunscreen.

In addition, Dean Daniel Schwartz of the GSE is excited to show off his gardening expertise and will be among the volunteers at Roosevelt School. He will also offer a few words about the importance of the project, and share news of the GSE's centennial program.

Alternatively, if you are one of the many GSE alumni who do not live near Redwood City, please check out the other Beyond the Farm projects being coordinated by our GSE Alumni around the country:
