Join us for a new discussion series showcasing the GSE’s Entrepreneur In Residence (EIR) program, which hosts individuals from a wide range of industries with a common focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, and educational technology. The first EIR panel discussion will delve into the challenges, opportunities, and implications of AI in EdTech. The discussion will be moderated by Isabelle Hau, Executive Director of the Stanford Accelerator for Learning. We hope you will join us.

PANELISTS:
Joy Chen (2023 EIR) is a Chinese American entrepreneur and investor with a passion for education technology. She has worked for top consulting and Fortune 500 companies such as Ernst & Young, Verizon, and Microsoft, where she designed and developed digital learning systems, knowledge management systems, and professional development systems. Claudio Sassaki (2023 EIR, Lemann Center) is a Brazilian entrepreneur and was the Co-Founder and CEO of Geekie, an edtech company in Brazil that pioneered ground-breaking, real time data-based learning systems. He has worked extensively with students, teachers, schools and districts to design and implement personalized learning strategies. Read Claudio’s full biography.

Eduardo Mufarej (2023 EIR, Lemann Center) is a Brazilian entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. He is a co-founder of the investment company Tarpon Investimentos, which manages several private equity funds focused on Brazilian businesses. Read Eduardo’s full biography.

Andre Nudelman (2022/2023 EIR) was appointed as Entrepreneur in Residence at Stanford University Graduate School of Education in September 2021. He has an extensive range of activities, including Private Equity with focus on Education, Entrepreneurship, Real Estate Investments, Agriculture, Art Collection, Non-profit organizations, and volunteer activities. Sergio Monsalve (2019 EIR) is a venture partner at Norwest Venture Partners in Palo Alto, and has been a successful founder/entrepreneur, technology product manager and operator at companies including eBay, Paypal, and various other startups. He is actively involved as an investor and/or board member in several relevant edtech companies, including Udemy, Kahoot, and Adaptive Insights. Read Sergio’s full biography.

MODERATOR:
Isabelle Hau
is the Executive Director of the Stanford Accelerator for Learning, which leverages the latest advances in brain and learning sciences, data, and technology to create more effective and equitable solutions in learning for all. Prior, she led the U.S. education initiative at Omidyar Network and Imaginable Futures.
