Please join us for a discussion with disability rights activist Judith Heumann.
Judith was a leader in passage of disability rights legislation in the U.S. Among other influential positions, she was Assistant Secretary of Education from 1993 to 2001; Advisor on Disability and Development to the World Bank from 2002 to 2006; and Special Advisor on Disability Rights to the U.S. Department of State from 2010 to 2017. Judith will discuss what it took to build a rights movement, and what challenges persist both in the U.S. and abroad to expand educational opportunities for people with disabilities.
