Abstract: This presentation draws on intersectional approaches to understand the institutional (re)production of identities and inequities. Rather than taking boundaries between institutions and identities for granted, we will reconsider how purported barriers are constructed and perceived from situated ideological perspectives. The broader goal is to connect comparative intersectional and institutional analyses to new visions for educational change and the eradication of societal inequities.
