As part of a series about virtual learning systems and big data analytics, Jace Kohlmeier will talk about his work as the Lead Data Scientist at Khan Academy. The conversation will address how Khan Academy conceives of and operationalizes a cycle of data-driven improvement. Specifically, Kohlmeier will discuss measurement and objective frameworks, design considerations for an optimizable system, modeling of the user’s knowledge state, and experimentation and iteration. Following his talk, we will open the floor up for Q&A and discussion.
