Hello, everyone!

This quarter, we are launching the Neuroscience Inclusion Committee on Equitable Research (NICER) initiative*. The NICER group targets researchers (students, staff, faculty) interested in examining issues of equity and inclusion among groups historically excluded from scientific research. This will be a two-part program: the first includes a journal-club style where we’ll discuss articles related to diversity and inclusion in research; the second will be organizing in a conference for the following academic year. 

We plan to meet either Monday, January 24th or Thursday, January 27th from 3:00 - 4:00 pm PST (depending on student availability). More details will be sent via email later this week.
