Members of the Stanford GSE community are invited to a restorative justice workshop on Friday, February 19th from 1:30-4:30 in CERAS 300. Lunch will be provided beforehand. Please RSVP below. Inquiries from those outside the GSE are welcome.
The agenda will include a brief video and lecture on restorative justice principles and practices, data (primarily focused on East Bay/Oakland schools), whole group discussion, restorative justice circles within smaller groups, and stories of successes and challenges from the RJOY educators. RJOY (Restorative Justice for Oakland Youth) will be leading the workshop, and you can find the history and mission of their organization linked below.
