Designed for grades 7 - 12 life science and biology teachers
At the Academy, participants will:
- Use research-based strategies to strengthen pedagogical knowledge to enhance students' conceptual understanding.
- Focus on integration of Science Practices (NGSS/AP).
- Work collaboratively to enhance curricula that better reflect big ideas and unifying biological concepts.
- Explore curriculum-building, teaching practices, and assessments.
- Build a network of support and empower teachers to expand and guide students' opportunities to learn at a deeper level.
