Please join the Stanford Center for Opportunity Policy in Education (SCOPE) and the Alliance for Excellent Education for a webinar to discuss some of the lessons learned about teacher- and leader-effectiveness policy from Finland, Ontario, and Singapore.
The webinar features Alliance President Bob Wise and the authors of a new report on teacher and leader effectiveness, SCOPE Co-Director Linda Darling-Hammond and Alliance Senior Fellow Robert Rothman. Also featured are video clips of leading researchers who have studied the three systems.
The report, Teacher and Leader Effectiveness in High-Performing Education Systems, outlines lessons learned from three of the highest-performing education systems in the world: Finland, Ontario, and Singapore. These systems demonstrate that states and national governments can develop policies that create a highly effective educator workforce that produces improvements in achievement for all students. The webinar will focus on the issues raised in the report and also provide an opportunity for Darling-Hammond and Rothman to address questions submitted by viewers across the country.
