The GSE Diploma Ceremony will be held in Canfield Court, located between the Stanford Bookstore and CERAS.
Stanford is committed to taking all necessary precautions and following all local guidelines to ensure a safe event. If you feel sick or test positive for COVID-19, do not attend any in-person events on campus and stay home. All commencement-related events and activities must comply with existing university COVID-19 policies and guidelines. Check Stanford Health Alerts for updates.
Arrive early to get the best parking and ensure that you are not late to line-up. The closest parking lot will be the Wilbur Field Garage. If parking is difficult on Sunday, you may find parking in the Tresidder parking lot as well. For information on any available Marguerite Shuttle routes for that Sunday, click here.
The Stanford and Stanford GSE ceremonies have open seating and tickets are not required. We recommend that you arrive early for the best seats. Seats will be set up at 11:30am, should families choose to arrive early and reserve seating. Please note that personal items should not be left on the seats as no security will be available. Academic Affairs reserves seats in advance only for guests in wheelchairs or who need special access at the Stanford GSE ceremony.
If any guests need special accommodations at the Stanford GSE ceremony, please contact the Stanford GSE Office of Academic Affairs ahead of time to make the necessary arrangements (alternatively, graduates can notify the office in their RSVP survey). In addition, please visit the Stanford Commencement Accessibility page and complete the Request for Disability-Related Accommodations form no later than May 26.
Smoking Guidelines: Smoking is prohibited in outdoor locations where arranged seating (fixed or temporary) is provided for programs or events. Outdoor locations include, but are not limited to, the Main Quadrangle, Stanford Stadium, amphitheaters, and courtyards.
