DiscoverEd at Stanford GSE: Diversity Outreach Program for Underrepresented Students
DiscoverEd is a diversity outreach program comprising four weekly workshops that will provide an overview of opportunities in the education landscape, how and when to apply to a graduate program in education, and perspectives from current education graduate students and faculty at Stanford GSE. Stanford’s commitment to diversity is broadly conceived and includes, but is not limited to: underrepresented racial and ethnic minorities; first-generation college students; LGBTQIA+ students; women in fields such as natural science and engineering; students with disabilities; students from low socioeconomic backgrounds; and others whose backgrounds and experiences would diversify their academic fields. All are welcome to register.
The first 20 prospective applicants to register and attend all sessions as a cohort will receive a School-based fee waiver for their Stanford GSE application (if they do not already qualify for the GRE Fee Reduction Waiver or the Diversity Program Participation Waiver) at the end of the program.
To register, click the RSVP button above where you will complete a form asking you why you wish to participate in the program. As DiscoverEd is intended to be a cohort experience, please only register if you are able to attend all sessions. If you are not able to attend all sessions, we invite you to participate in one of our other recruitment events here.
The deadline to register for DiscoverEd has been extended to Sunday, October 2 at 11:59pm. After that time, registration will no longer be available.
