[GSE IT] Workshop: XR for Immersive Creativity and Collaboration

[GSE IT] Workshop: XR for Immersive Creativity and Collaboration

Thursday, May 23, 2024
12:15pm - 1:15pm
Location shared upon completing the RSVP form

As screens become omnipresent, Extended Reality (XR) is revolutionizing how we experience the digital world. By merging digital information with our physical surroundings, XR opens up new avenues for enhancing education with interactive environments. It allows students to engage with content in dynamic, intuitive ways, making learning and collaboration more engaging and effective.

In this workshop, join GSE IT as we explore these possibilities of utilizing and leveraging XR for education and research purposes. Participants will also gain insights and considerations from a special use-case by Andrei Speridião, Interaction Design & Creative Tech, when he developed a Virtual Reality (VR) project, and how they can apply his story to their own XR journey.

The workshop will focus on these central questions:

  • How can immersive technology foster collaborative learning experiences?
  • Which types of tools and technologies are optimal for developing VR projects that support class projects?
  • What are the key principles and considerations for successful VR design in educational learning outcomes?
