It is strongly recommended that participants be comfortable reading and understanding spoken English, as all lectures, classes, readings and interactions with school personnel will be in English.
Sending teams involved in teacher education, rather than individuals, is crucial to achieve the goals of the Institute. The most useful analyses of the principles of effective teacher education programs, as well as any plans created for future enhancements, are best developed by including multiple perspectives to represent the relevant constituencies. All members of the team will need to work together to make systemic improvements or refinements to their own programs.
Tuition for the iSTEP Institute is $2,500 per participant. Fees include materials, seminars at the university, visits to the schools, the opening dinner, and the closing luncheon. Pre-Institute readings will be sent by e-mail; relevant texts and articles for the week will be provided.
Transportation to and from Stanford, hotel accommodations, and other meals are not included.
