Seeking Student Performance Improvement in the Stanford Undergraduate Biology Department

This POLS Talk provides an overview of Winter and Spring quarter research in the Stanford undergraduate Biology Department, focused on the BioCore cycle, intended primarily for sophomore-level students. The Project explores root causes of low student performance in a large (250 students), fast-paced program with multiple instructors. I provide recommendations designed to improve upon current pedagogical resources, focusing on improving students’ performance and achievement.
