SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: In light of the current concerns about COVID-19, or novel coronavirus, and California's recent shelter-in-place directive, the Stanford GSE Admissions team is temporarily conducting all business online. Until further notice, walk-ins, in-person meetings, and phone calls with staff will not be possible.
We remain dedicated to helping you navigate the admissions application process. Please send your questions by email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to respond to your inquiry within 5 business days. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.
To learn more about the GSE, we invite you to connect with us at a recruitment event, participate in an online webinar, or visit the campus to experience our dynamic community firsthand. If you'd like to request more information and tell us more about who you are, please fill out our inquiry form below:
Members of the GSE Admissions Office are excited to meet with you from May through November during business hours to answer any questions you may have regarding degree programs, application requirements, and funding.
Send us an email at email@example.com with a few dates and times that work for you at least 1-2 weeks in advance of your arrival to schedule a 30-minute in-person or Zoom appointment with an admissions officer. Please note that we cannot schedule appointments or accommodate walk-ins from December through April, our peak admissions season, so please plan ahead.
While we do our best to accommodate walk-ins, we cannot always guarantee that a member of our team is available to meet. We encourage you to schedule an appointment to guarantee an appointment time using the aforementioned process.
Contact with faculty members is not a required part of the application process nor does it guarantee admission to a graduate program. If you do decide to contact a faculty member, please read our Which Degree? Which Program? article by Professor Emeritus Eamonn Callan. It includes the typical protocol for contacting faculty with whom you share research interests. Please note that faculty are not always available to meet with prospective students nor are they always able to accommodate visitors in their class.
If you would still like to meet with faculty and/or observe a class, we ask that you reach out directly to faculty with whom you'd like to meet or whose class you'd like to observe as the GSE Admissions Office does not facilitate such arrangements.
