Thank you for your interest in Stanford’s Graduate School of Education (GSE). One of the country’s top education schools, the GSE is a world leader in ground-breaking, cross-disciplinary research and analysis that shape the educational practice and policy.

The GSE seeks to develop the knowledge, wisdom and imagination of its students, enabling them to take leadership positions in efforts to improve the quality of education around the globe. As a GSE student, you will join a dynamic community of students, faculty and alumni passionate about advancing education at all levels and addressing the challenges facing education in the 21st century.

The application for the 2018-2019 academic year is now live. Apply through the main Stanford Graduate Admissions site here. Coterminal applications are also live and can be accessed here.

Application Deadlines:  PhD - December 1, 2017 / MA - January 10, 2018/ Coterm - January 10, 2018
The deadlines above refer to the application for the 2018-2019 academic year for which we are now accepting applications. Decision letters will go out electronically to all applicants. Doctoral candidates can expect to hear back by mid February, followed by STEP candidates in late February. Non-STEP MA candidates will hear back from the GSE in early March.

Knight-Hennessy Scholars awards financial support for the full cost of attendance to pursue a graduate degree at Stanford, with additional opportunities for leadership training and collaboration across fields. Apply to Knight-Hennessy Scholars by September 27, and to your School of Education graduate program by November 15.
