Dean's Welcome

Congratulations on your admission to the Stanford Graduate School of Education (GSE)!

On behalf of my colleagues, I would like to welcome you to our richly diverse and intellectually vibrant community dedicated to the study of teaching and learning and education.

We know that the Stanford GSE may be one of several options you have for graduate study, so I invite you to take time to learn about what we have to offer. Our goal is to help you make a well-informed decision about your academic future. We took great care in determining that your talents and ambitions would strengthen our program, and would be delighted if you decide to join our incoming cohort.

Much of the information you need to get started at the GSE can be found in the Admitted Student Guide or by contacting the Academic Affairs Team. There is a wide range of information about the GSE’s events for admitted students, the resources found at Stanford, and about getting settled in the neighborhood. We are here to assist you in any way we can. We look forward to meeting you during our admitted students events when you will have an opportunity to meet the wonderful faculty, students, and staff who make up our community.

Again, welcome to Stanford GSE. We hope that you will decide to be a part of our community come fall!

Sincerely,

Anne H. Charity Hudley, Ph.D. (she/her, Black and proud)
