Learning skills like positive value affirmations, empathy, and goal-setting are critical to a young Native American student’s academic performance and outlook on school. Yet schools lack the time and resources to properly teach these social-emotional skills. The Lakota Life Skills website features over forty lessons specifically created for Native American families. Lessons are quick, culturally-relevant, and feature parent guides to facilitate each activity.
