Technology is shifting global workforce needs. Yet people struggle to understand and express their skills and experiences beyond their immediate role or industry. PeopleMap intelligently gathers and translates users’ skills into a competency map, highlighting to the learner the competencies gained through their experiences. Studies show a strong connection between self-understanding and increased upskilling, job applications, and job application diversity. We have developed a webapp that uses all available text-based data about a person to intelligently translate their skills and experiences, delivering a dynamic personal map. Successful pilots within Stanford have been conducted.
