Distracted by your smartphone? Overwhelmed by your inbox? You're not alone. In an always-on age, young people and adults alike are looking for solutions to the negative physical and social side effects of digital overstimulation. At key ages for brain development, children are trying to navigate their own uses of personal communication technologies. In response, Presence Project is bringing physical toolkits to families to teach time management and create rewarding group challenges. Our "Be Here Now Boxes" include an interactive Internet meter with personalized tokens, DIY instruments, and monitoring tools. Additional open source materials and kid-tested resources are available on Presence-Project.com. Join us!
