Alumni Excellence in Education Award Nomination Form

The GSE welcomes nominations for the Alumni Excellence in Education Award. Strong candidates from across a range of education sectors (schools, districts, nonprofits, tech, academia, or research) will have demonstrated excellence in one or more of the following award criterion:

  • Advancement of knowledge through research, teaching, publications, or technology as it relates to the interdisciplinary field of education
  • Commitment to dynamic, high-quality educational practice at the classroom, school site, or district level as a teacher, principal, or district leader
  • Dedication to underserved and low-resourced student populations
  • Innovation in addressing a timely issue or challenge in education
  • Leadership in educational policy at the local, state, federal, or international level

Nominations for all GSE alumni, from recent grads to those with more established careers, are welcome. Self-nominations cannot be accepted. Once submitted, nominations remain active for three years. Recipients are selected by a committee that includes GSE alumni, faculty, and the dean. We strongly encourage recipients to attend the October 16, 2020 award reception during reunion weekend in person (travel stipend available to recipients who travel to Stanford from beyond the SF Bay Area).

DEADLINE: Nominations for the 2021 award are due Monday, April 5, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time
